She didn't offer anything up. One of my people told Shepard what happened and she said something like "that's not how I would have described it". I don't remember the specifics.
[It's probably unnecessary to keep up the charade, she's just told him exactly what he wanted to know. He can measure a timeframe now that she came from. Of course, it will all soon be muddled anyway, when her comrades fill her in - but there will always be details she may not know from the time in between her recruitment and his in their universe.]
[Tali has absolutely no idea what he's trying to gain from this whole conversation, and isn't sure if she believes anything he's saying either just on principle. But, as far as she's concerned, nothing she's saying is of any importance, and Tali has never been one to cut off a conversation if she doesn't find it useful.]
