After you pack, hit the central arboretum for any dextro food you can grab? Looks like we're gonna be having trouble with food wherever we're going. Hitting solar, then making a dash for lunar.
Right. Use the duffel they gave us on arrival. There's no telling how long we're gonna be in this place and starvation is not on my list of ways to go out.
[Sorry, Tali, he's a little worried at the moment.]
[Tali tends to be a lot more generally focused under pressure - and she is now, packed and hurrying to the bars, already considering what she should take, what would last longer, how long she can make a duffel bag full of food actually last... and it's a centred, productive feeling that's oddly welcome.
In short, bizarrely? The imminent threat of starvation is easier to handle than anything from the past few days.]

Already got it - it'll be full before the half hour's up. I'm not ready to starve down there either.
[It's almost satisfying to have a direct threat instead of a looming, vague one, but Garrus doesn't particularly like this situation. They don't know how long they'll be in a holding area of sorts, punished again for something that they didn't do. And if it's too long, well. Most of the crew will be fine. It's him and Tali who will really be paying.]
d125, after Gliese's post, I am so sorry for your inbox...

Great.
Right, I'm on it. I'll bring water filters, weapons and as much food as I can get.
This has never happened before, has it?
no subject
Not for us, and it sounds like not for Gliese either.

This looks like it's getting really damn complicated really quickly.

Doesn't everything?
I'm catching up on all this now. You've got everything you need, right?
no subject
Yes. Packed gear first as I chatted with her, then got a move down to here.

Perks of a military lifestyle - ability to pack fast.

Quarian, remember? I'm on my way to the bars now.
Just make sure you leave some of that food.
[...Not that she actually thinks Garrus could or would take everything.]

Doubt I'm really going to make that much of a difference, but why? We're the only dextros on the ship and they've got kitchen access if they need it.

Just making sure you don't get too greedy.
[She's messing with you Garrus. Some form of normality makes her feel better. But much more seriously:]

Good. See you where we're going.

I'll contact you when we're down there. we can take stock, see what we're looking at.
[See just how screwed they're going to be in just how short a time. It'll be fun(!)]
